Supergirl Legacy was the first feature film I had been invited to work on. I worked closely with the director, Sean Norona, to curate the perfect Supergirl costume inspired by the 90s Superman The Animated Series design while still adding its own modern twist to it. The S-Shield crest was the most challenging part as well as the detachable cape. The crest was made with a leather-molding technique with using real leather and paint that was locally thrifted. It was a technique I had never used prior to this project so adapting to new textiles and doing research on new techniques was a large learning curve to execute this look. Though I only designed and constructed one character's costume, I was also invited on set to fulfill wardrobe running duties during the promotional photoshoot as well as the teaser production.
